DOGS
Got a headache this morning – kicked out of bed
I could’nt believe – i was shaking my head
In the middle of the diner – right on the floor
Out in the kitchen i found even more
I was howling the dogs for several hours
Yelling out loud for digging up flowers
I knew they were turning each leave, each stone
Making theire effort to dig up the bone
Keeping our dogs was no problem of mine
You said: honey – we can do so fine!
To keep them in the backyard was the easiest game
If you want to see them just call by theire name
On sunday morning i remember you said:
Honey, they will never, ever get in this bed
When summer is heat and you rest in the shade
Crawling inside when the sun starts to fade
You long for a shower – you long for a mills
Just looking at the cat gives you the chills
You sit by the fire just came in from the cold
You’re feeling so tender you’re feeling so old
Just by your feet lies that old dog
A guidanse for lifetime – leads you through fog
Keeping our dogs was no problem of mine
You said: honey – we can do so fine!
To keep them in the backyard was the easiest game
If you want to see them just call by theire name
On sunday morning i remember you said:
Honey, they will never, ever get in this bed
